I just re-read Isaiah 8 in the Message. What a delight it is to recognize that God is there for us.
I love the lines:
"Don't be like this people, always afraid somebody is plotting against them."
"While I wait for God as long as he remains in hiding, while I wait and hope for him. I stand my ground and hope..."
"No, we're going to study the Scriptures...." (I say this knowing that I have a math degree so I believe there is more to study than just scriptures but it is important to get into the word of God)
