Isaiah 9:8-10:19 God is angry; He will punish

This is not something we like to hear.  We like to think that a loving God doesn't get angry yet He created us with anger.

The question is why is He angry?
a) the people still believe they can rebuild things and fail to realize that God is in ultimately in control (v9-12)
b) after God's anger/punishment the people didn't value His punishment and come back to Him (v13)
c) He wants us to realize that we can only do what He wants us to do.  As smart or as rich as we are or become we have nothing unless God allows us to have it.  Until we realize this God is not happy.

What did God do in His anger?
a) He cut off both the leaders and the prophets.  The leaders because they led in the wrong direction and the prophets because they spoke lies.
b) The people speak lies and are separated from God and are very evil
c) He doesn't like those who make unfair laws
d) He doesn't like laws that make it hard for people
e) He doesn't like it when they are not fair to the poor and they rob people of their rights.
f) He doesn't like it when they allow people to steal from widows and to take from orphans what really belongs to them.
g) He doesn't like pride. People can only do what God allows them to do. (10:15)

What does His anger look like?
a) First it burns the small weeds and then the thorns and the forest
b) No one will try to save his brother or sister
c) People will grab things but they will still be hungry so they will eat their own children
d) They will fight against each other
e) He uses Kings and nations to punish other nations (10:7)
f) People get sick
